Somatic and Trauma Therapy in Boulder, CO

About Alicia

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Boulder, Colorado, serving clients in Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont, and surrounding communities in person, as well as clients throughout Oregon via online sessions.

With over 17 years of clinical experience, I am passionate about the body’s ability to heal and thrive under the right conditions. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, PTSD, addiction, chronic illness and pain, as well as ongoing stress and worry that feels difficult to shift.

I enjoy helping people build the capacity to stay present with difficult emotions, soften chronic stress patterns, and more fully experience the range of feelings available to them. Many of the people I work with feel stuck, anxious, or disconnected from themselves, and are looking for a deeper sense of safety in their nervous system and body, which often supports more ease in relationships. This work helps release long-held survival patterns, deepen emotional awareness, and support a more grounded and confident sense of self.

Many clients come to this work after previous therapy or insight hasn’t fully addressed what they’re experiencing. As embodiment and emotional resilience increase, people often experience more aliveness, deeper connection, and a greater sense of ease in their lives.

My approach integrates body-based, mindfulness, and relational talk therapy methods, including Somatic Experiencing®, Brainspotting, DBT, Gestalt/IFS-informed work, and Integral Somatic Psychology®. My meditation and movement practice informs the presence and pacing I bring into sessions.

I strive to create a welcoming space for individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, as well as for all sexual orientations and gender identities.
