Somatic Therapy & Trauma Counseling in Boulder, CO

About Alicia

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Boulder, Colorado, serving local clients in-person as well as clients throughout Oregon via online sessions. With over 17 years of clinical experience, I am passionate about the body’s ability to heal and thrive under the right conditions. I specialize in supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, PTSD, addiction, chronic illness and pain, as well as persistent worry and stress.

I enjoy helping people build the capacity to be with difficult emotions, clear chronic stress, and more fully experience the range of feelings available to them. I support those who feel stuck, anxious, or disconnected in developing a greater sense of safety in their bodies, releasing long-held tension patterns, shifting limiting beliefs, and moving toward a more grounded and confident version of themselves.

Many clients come to this work after previous therapy or insight hasn’t fully addressed what they’re experiencing. With increased embodiment and emotional resilience, people often experience a greater sense of aliveness, deeper connection, and a more authentic experience of well-being.

I use a combination of body-based, mindfulness, and talk therapy approaches, including Somatic Experiencing®, Brainspotting, DBT, Gestalt/IFS-informed, and Integral Somatic Psychology®, to help you feel more grounded, regulated, and connected to yourself and others. My own meditation and movement practice informs the presence I bring to this work.

I strive to create a welcoming space for individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, as well as for all sexual orientations and gender identities.
