Somatic Therapy
Boulder, Colorado
Alicia Ankenman, MA, LPC, SEP, BSP
I support those who feel stuck, anxious, or disconnected to feel safe in their bodies, release long-held tension patterns, and step into a more grounded, confident version of themselves.
If you are dealing with anxiety, trauma/cPTSD, addiction, chronic illness/pain, or chronic stress, I help restore nervous system balance and foster mind-body awareness. By shifting limiting beliefs and processing stored trauma, we can cultivate deep, emotional well-being.
Using a relational focus on attachment and relationship patterns, I integrate Somatic Experiencing®, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)–informed techniques to help clients reconnect with their bodies, release tension, and build emotional resilience.
With over 17 years of clinical experience, I understand how stress is held in the physical body. I support clients in developing a more supportive, attuned relationship with themselves—especially those who feel "stuck" even after previous therapy or insight.
This work may support you in:
Processing difficult emotions and releasing chronic stress
Reconnecting with your body and building emotional resilience
Finding relief from trauma-related symptoms such as anxiety, depression, shame, or grief
Cultivating self-compassion, personal strength, and healthier relationships
In-person sessions are available in Boulder, Colorado, and virtual sessions are offered throughout Oregon.
